You don’t often see a company describing themselves as waste removers and yet in effect there are a wide range of operators that provide waste removal services, so we decided to write about them.
Who are the waste removers?
Municipal Solid Waste is collected. Any company that operates a household waste collection service is effectively a waste removal service.
Many companies that deliver you large and bulky items will also provide a waste removal service if requested and if pressed to do so. This has the advantage that specialist companies can take back their own products, recycling is simplified, and the journey distance minimised. For many companies and certainly the companies that produce electrical goods they are being required by law, throughout the EU, to take back all their life expired goods this is good for the consumer and should encourage recycling. This is called the WEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Goods) Regulations.
House clearance companies, usually also operating as house removals service companies, will remove waste from the houses of the deceased and this can be a great help to the families of the deceased.
Skip Waste companies that drop off a skip on to your yard and leave it for you to fill it, and provide waste removal when you call later to say that the skip is full or you have finished with it please remove the waste.
Pet Poop collection operators provide waste removal services and almost every park now needs them now that the public has started to pick up their own dog poop and the need has grown for special doggy poop litter baskets which must be regularly emptied.
Household Bulky Waste Removal offered by you local council is waste removal service. If you have something bulky to dispose of that will not fit in your car for you to take it to a tip or recycling centre it may be collected as bulky waste. Also those without a car at all can use such services. Anything that cannot be carried in a car tends to get called bulky waste. Make enquiries whether you council operates a bulky waste collection service, and almost all of them do.
