A new waste  transfer station and recycling facility

The "big shed" seen here, as viewed from an adjacent landfill, will be used for sorting the waste for recycling, to divert waste away from the landfill. Increased sorting of the waste, will also increase the diversion of organic waste away from landfill, for example to composting sites.
